Many many thanks to Ric for purchasing “The Trail“.

This painting was inspired by the Inca Trail in the Peruvian Andes that Robyn and I hiked last year. A four-day hike at altitudes surpassing 4000 metres along the trail made by the ancients that led us to the ruins of Machu Picchu. The imagery in this piece is my interpretation of the cloud forest where at such a high altitude, the beauty of the Andes is reflected in the colours of Pachamama (Mother Earth to the Incas).
